Abelt grinderwith lower HP motor will not provide you with a satisfactory performance which is necessary for knife making.Belt grinderswith more than 1 HP motor will offer better performance. The higher the horsepower is, the better the machine will perform. Chinese motors are just fine, but you should avoid them as they do not last long.

It looks like Beaumont is trying to offer agrinderthat corrects the deficiencies of their oldgrinder. Maybe they are going to work on customer service also.
The pdf you used for the plans are in fact the most often used "do it yourselfgrinder" plans in the knife making world lol. A very goodcloneof the excellentKMG grinder. I have been meaning to make thisgrinderfor many years now and have downloaded those plans many many times. I'm glad someone finally did a 3d model of it and it looks amazing.
